New Pid Trailer May Just Have the Best Music Ever

Pid was one of the best surprises of E3 for me. I knew I had to check it out due to the pedigree of its developers Might & Delight, whose members previously made the sublime Bionic Commando Rearmed (a personal favorite). As it turns out, Pid shares quite a lot of DNA with its spiritual predecessor - from the retro-chic 2D visuals to its own quirky platforming gimmick. The new 'Operation Tango' trailer shows off those things and more, including some absolutely beautiful music. You must hear it.

Planechasin' at the expense of co-op.

Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 Co-Op Review

Many of our staff members are fans of the physical version of Magic: The Gathering, and we've grown to like the Duels of the Planeswalkers series over the past few releases. Can Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 live up to the solid co-op offerings the series has offered in the past, or will the removal of key features previously available hurt too much? Let's find out.

Firefall Hits 500k Beta Users as PC Requirements Unveiled

The team at Red 5 have announced that Firefall's beta has reached 500,000 users.  The epic milestone for the free to play shooter/MMO is definitely impressive - and despite the long wait for the game since it was announced, - all of the refinement should make it a solid co-op experience.  Red 5 is said to be making "significant" adjustments to several of the core mechanics based feedback from the community during the beta.

Ubisoft is in the process of investigating numerous bugs with PC Future Soldier

PC Version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier Plagued with Horrendous Issues

Latest in "News Which Shocks No One," yesterday's release of the PC version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier has not gone over well for Ubisoft. The version is currently suffering from a crippling amount of bugs. What kind of bugs, you ask? Well, my friend, they range from the somewhat understandable framerate issues and resolution errors to the facepalm-worthy Xbox 360 buttons being prompted in the interface to the absolutely appalling non-recognition of mouse and WASD controls. Wait, what?

Spelunky Gets a Patriotic Release Date on the XBLA

Spelunky first appeared on the PC back in 2008. It's a puzzle plafromer made up of randomized levels and death is always a whisper away. As players progress through the destuctible environments they'll unlock secrets and other goodies. This July the game will be getting the Xbox Live Arcade port treatment, featuring "new graphics, music, zones, monsters, items, traps, and secrets."

Awesomenauts Patch in the Works to Bring More Awesome to Your "Nauts"

Everyone's favorite* MOBA for the consoles, Awesomenauts, is getting an update to help ensure the game is well and truly balanced for all. Tweaks like this are quite common for a game within this genre, or really games as a whole. After all, any game that involves mutliple characters with various skills may not be quite perfect enough at launch as players will always find ways of using (and exploiting) skills and abilities that developers may not have anticipated during development. Awesomenauts is no exception to this as the bulk of changes being made are just these types of tweaks.

The Kinect Killer?

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor Co-Op Review

By now you've probably heard that Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor is a complete disaster. That's not entirely true. I've been to hell and back, completing the entire story mode and earning an "A" ranking on most of the co-op missions. Is this game a diamond in the rough, or am I some sort of gaming supermasochist? Find out in our Co-Op Review.

Spec-Ops: The Line Co-Op DLC Should Be Available by August

Spec-Ops: The Line is out now on the 360, PS3 and PC - but it's still missing a piece that Co-Optimus readers would be most interested in - namely the co-op mode.  At E3 2012 we went hands on with it and were quite impressed with what was on display - a gritty, difficult, and tight co-op experience for two players to work through.  We were told the content would be available shortly after launch and today 2K Games have put that time frame into perspective.
