New RAGE Video Focuses on Enemies and Animation

You want to know what we're going to be up against in RAGE?  We'll show you.  The latest video focuses on the different enemy types and the animations that bring them to life.  One can't help but think of Borderlands or Fallout when watching this video.  Similar to these other wasteland titles, the early enemy factions consist of varying bandit clans.  Each clan differs in combat style and physical appearance.  Then there are mutants to deal with.  You can see a rather large mutie in the above image.  Luckily, it appears that you will have some sort of magazine-fed rocket launcher at your disposal.

New Video and Screens for Crimson Alliance

You may have seen Crimson Alliance lurking on your Xbox LIVE dashboard.  It's the free bonus game you'll receive if you buy all of the Summer of Arcade titles.  This may lead you to believe that the game is a tacked-on after thought, but you couldn't be more wrong.  I got a chance to play Crimson Alliance at E3, and it plays as well as (or better than) any other downloadable dungeon crawler that's crossed the digital landscape of late.  You can read my hands-on preview here.

No Open Beta for M-Rated Twisted Metal

Twisted Metal is fondly remembered by many a classic gaming fan.  The upcoming revival of the series is bringing the over-the-top action to the modern console era.  This time around, Twisted Metal's trademark violence has apparently been ramped up considerably, as evidenced by the screenshot above.  In fact, one scene in the opening cinematic was so disturbing that it earned Twisted Metal an 'M' rating. Designer David Jaffe indicated that they were fine with the more lax rating because "without blood, it felt a little weird, frankly."

Weapons Take the Stage in this Ratchet and Clank All 4 One Video

The following video is the first of four in a Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One extravaganza!  This video showcases some of the ridiculous weapons from the Ratchet and Clank universe.  You'll see the Combuster, the Warmonger, and others.  Each weapon appears to have some form of co-op functionality.  The Darkstar Fission Tether looks promising.  Remember, this is just a taste of the available arsenal.

Gunstringer Dev Blog Taunts Hardcore Gamers

The Gunstringer's coming, and he's bringing a hellacious Hardcore Mode with him.  Fresh from the Twisted Pixel blog, game designer Dan Teasdale has a challenge for all the hardcore gamers out there.  (Never mind that  most hardcore gamers would rather gnaw their own thumbs off than play a Kinect game.)   Mr. Teasdale first and foremost reminds us that the game is meant to be enjoyed by everyone.  There's even a No-Fail-Mode, so  if you want to co-op with your dog, go ahead.  But if you're made of sterner stuff, he's got a mode (and a 50 point achievement) for you.
