Looking for a deal on a downloadable game? Got some spare change lying around? Xbox Live is loaded with a ton of deals this week on a bunch of great games, including some truly classic XBLA titles. Here's what we spot in terms of co-op.
With epic special editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 here and a very reserved trailer there, Treyarch reveals a couple of screenshots of the zombie’s players be in close-quarters with in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s enhanced "Zombies" mode. It's the least they can give us before the game’s upcoming November 13th release date.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is getting (what I would suspect to be) its final installment of DLC. The awesome zombie map pack, "Resurrection" goes live on the PlayStation 3 and PC today. The DLC will cost $15 bucks, but gamers who bought the Hardened and Prestige editions of CoD:BO can download it for free. The DLC features the new Moon map, as well as four re-masterd classic zombie maps. You can check out our impressions of it here. It's got zombies, space, and dual laser blasters. What more could you want? To celebrate the launch of this DLC Treyarch is having a Double XP weekend. Time to prestige.
Oh good! Another Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombie Lab video. The last video was pretty gory, but it was missing something... I can't quite put my finger on it... ah, yes, shock-induced projectile blood vomiting. Now it's a party. Watch your mashed potatoes. This video is pushing the CoD: Black Ops "Rezurrection" map pack, which happens to be the co-op-iest of all the map packs. The DLC offers four classic maps along with the all-new Moon level.
Attention PS3 and PC gamers! The Call of Duty: Black Ops - Rezurrection DLC map pack will be available on September 22nd. To celebrate, Treyarch will be hosting a Double XP weekend from the 23rd though the 25th. This will probably be the last Black Ops DLC, what with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 coming out on November 8th. Remember this, if you don't buy it, someone else will. So you may as well just go ahead and do it.
In case you were looking for a way to fill up your entire XBox 360 hard drive with downloadable co-op content, Xbox Live Marketplace's summer deals have you covered. Mission packs for older games? Check. New Arcade releases? Check. There's only one caveat - some of these will expire soon, so don't twiddle your thumbsticks. Well...do twiddle your thumbsticks, but only after you've browsed the below list.
The Zombies lore of Call of Duty: Black Ops has come a long way. Adding more difficulty and more personality with each map pack, Treyarch has built a legend within a legend - a game mode that will be talked about for years, and a backstory that most gamers love to play over and over again.
Here we go folks! We've got a handful of codes to give out to a few lucky winners for the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack called Rezurrection. We've been talking about the co-op exclusive DLC since it was announced, and now that it's out on Xbox 360, it's time to actually dig in. We'll have our impressions up in a day or so, but in the meantime we wanted to give you a chance to get your hands on it.
All co-op, all the time. The latest DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops is out and it features nothing but co-op zombie slaying across five maps including the brand new Moon map in zero gravity. The other four maps are remasters of the World at War maps which were available to owners of the Prestige and Limited edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops already.
This very gooey video from the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC, Rezurrection, has tremendous Zombie footage. Much of the video is live action, depicting various zombie experiments from the "Call of Duty Zombie Labs." I think there's even some sort of Zombie Admiral Ackbar around the 1:00 mark. This DLC may be the last hurrah from Black Ops, but it's the most co-op friendly content by far. Five Zombie maps will be included in the download, and each will support four player online co-op. (Or two player local co-op, or two player local co-op with two more players online.)
Andrew (Cubninja) and Jim (txshurricane) played some midnight matches and came back with a few Black Ops snapshots for the album. Plus, we discuss why playing with friends is important to getting the most enjoyment out of competitive games.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is getting the DLC that everyone always wanted...but sadly still requires the full game. As a downloadable title this game would make a killing! Still, Rezurrection includes all the co-op zombie maps plus a brand new insane zombie map called Moon for your undead killing pleasure.
Even more Call of Duty: Black Ops content is coming our way. The latest batch is titled Rezurrection, and it is the most co-op friendly DLC to date. Rezurrection will feature only cooperative Zombie maps. No multiplayer versus maps here. As you have probably deduced from the above screenshot, there will be a new Zombie map titled "Moon." It takes place on the frick'n moon. Four classic Zombie maps have been re-mastered and will come in the package: Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, and Der Riese.
If you are still playing Call of Duty: Black Ops, well, you're probably pretty damn good by now. Surely you're ready for a few new areas where you can camp valiantly charge into battle. Annihilation is the latest map pack from Treyarch. True, the DLC came out a month ago on the 360, but if you're gaming on the PS3 or PC, it's new to you! . Annihilation has four new multiplayer maps which can be played cooperatively versus bots, and then there is a new co-op Zombie map, Shangri-La. For an in-depth look into the map pack you can check out our impressions here.
Before I begin, may the record show that Black Ops developer Treyarch gets the real credit for reviving Party chat. You'll see what I mean in a minute.
