E3 2013 - Spin the Bottle Noses-On Impressions

Well, this just happened. While checking out the IndieCade showcase at E3, we got to have a little hands-on time with WiiU indie title Spin The Bottle. Unlike the game I remember from my childhood, this one barely involves being rejected by girls who really don't want to kiss you, although I nearly made out with the lovely gentleman pictured above. *sigh* Someday.

Tom Clancy universe in a whole new light

Ubisoft Reveals Next Gen Online Shooter - The Division

E3 has officially kicked off, and video game news has been showered upon the the world in torrents of information. One of the games that was revealed yesterday during Ubisoft's E3 2013 press conference was a game set in the Tom Clancy universe by the name of The Division. The Division takes a unique spin on the Tom Clancy mythos, asking the question of what happens when the big disaster strikes. The game world of The Division assumes a form of a dysotopian and anarchistic homeland. Cue "the division," a group of highly trained operatives tasked with rebuilding what was once lost.

The Lords of Hell will have their hands full against you and your allies

Diablo III Console Screens and Video Shows off Co-Op in Action

We now know that Diablo 3 will be hitting consoles on Sept. 3, and that the game will support local, online, and combo co-op. While we've heard some mention of the latter, we have yet to see it in action... until now. From their command console at E3 [Ed. Note: I'm assuming they have a command console], Blizzard has released a slew of screens of the game running on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. They've also released a video that shows off friends playing together, whether they're local, online, or both!

Die a lot and then eventually claim victory

Dark Souls 2 "I Am Undone" Trailer

The one bad thing about Locke, Mike, and Andrew all being at E3 is that any news regarding Dark Souls 2 will be strongly muted from the rest of the staff. I mean, if you've listened to any episode of the Co-Opticast in the past few months, you know just how much they love the original. Nick and I? We're rather "meh" about the whole thing. However, this new trailer for the game, showed off during Microsoft's press conference yesterday, certainly seems to make the new title seem... I dunno... exciting? There's still a lot of death to be had, though.

Destiny's E3 Gameplay Trailer Shows off Co-Op in Action

Prior to Sony's open hand slap to the face of Microsoft, developer Bungie took the stage at Sony's press conference to show off some gameplay from their upcoming title, Destiny. I was, in a word, excited. In case you missed it, Bungie has released a brief glimpse of what they showed off last night, along with a little more story/setup to the events that will unfold in the game. The trailer doesn't give too much time on any one aspect (there's a lot of action jump shots crammed into nearly 3 minutes). So watch it and then I'll break down a few things based off what they showed yesterday.

Portal 2’s co-op mode has a brand new DLC campaign that immerses players in the Portal universe more so than any other time before it. Using the PlayStation Move as the controller, we can now control the portal gun in a whole new way.
