Just like X-Men Arcade, whaddaya know?

The Simpsons Arcade Will Include Both English and Japanese Versions

We first learned that The Simpsons Arcade would be coming home to Xbox Live Arcade back in November, but news has been scarce since then. Just recently, however Xbox360Achievements.org published the game's full Achievement list. That alone is good news because it usually means that the game will come out within the next month or two. A quick glance at the Achievements themselves reveals another interesting fact: both the English (worldwide) and Japanese versions will be included in the port.

Terrorhedron Impressions: 8 Player Tower Defense Comes to PCs

Is the world ready for an 8-player co-op tower defense game? That question ran through my mind when I first learned of Terrorhedron courtesy of a post at Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Tower defense may be the new match 3 among indie developers - you can't throw a rock without hitting one (the games, not the developers). But Terrorhedron brings enough fresh ideas to the table to warrant a look.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier Dated for Consoles, Alive for PC

It seems like only yesterday that a colleague of mine asked if we should delete the Ghost Recon Future Soldier PC entry, since well, we were pretty sure it was never going to happen.  I have a natural talent for deleting things (especially my own work), so I obliged him.  The very instant I hit the "OBLITERATE GAME FROM DATABASE" button I got a memo from the boss man.  We had just received a press release from Ubisoft.  GRFS  was back on for the PC, and I was saddled with painful hours of re-entering the game into the database.  I don't want to name names, but it was Paul's fault. (Don't worry Paul, we have a new new guy coming on soon. Then I can start blaming him for all my typoos.)

Call of Duty: Elite iOS App Launches Today, Black Ops 2 Domain Acquired

You're at the dentist's office, perusing a three-year-old copy of Highlights.  You're crushing the Hidden Pictures puzzle, easily spotting items that have yet to be circled.  Your total dominance of the children's magazine brings back memories of the previous night's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 shellacking you took at the hands of what were clearly uncouth, cheating adolescents.  Their wicked laughter causes you to shudder, drawing stares from other waiting patients.  Hanging your head in shame, you pause for inward reflection, knowing you were bested by boorish children half you age.

Magfest 2012 In Pictures

This past weekend I packed my bags and headed south to Washington, DC to check out Magfest - a festival that celebrates videogames and videogame music.  The show has plenty of stuff for folks to do including a free play arcade with many classic cabinets (including my favorite Moon Patrol).  There's also a LAN party area, table top gaming area, and plenty of independent artists selling their wares.
