Kinect Disneyland Adventures Launch Trailer Promises Co-Op Magic

After Disney Universe landed with a thud instead of a bang (at least as far as co-op is concerned), it falls on Kinect Disneyland Adventures to represent the awesomeness of Disney co-op this season. Coming from UK programming house Frontier Developments (makers of Kinectimals), Disneyland Adventures seeks to both recreate a real Disney theme park and keep pairs of young gamers off the couch and having fun.

Our Weekend in Gaming - Modern Gamefare 3 Edition

It may be the biggest game of the fall in terms of numbers sold, but Modern Warefare 3 has only managed to crack two of our staff members playlists for the upcoming weekend.  What else is on tap?  Plenty of solid gaming goodness in the form of RPGs, Indie Games, and other fall gaming hits.

$400 Million Dollars in 24 Hours

The headline says it all.  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 broke the single day sales record for any form of entertainment that has ever existed.  This is the third year in a row where the franchise has claimed that title.  Activision reports that  MW3 sold 6.5 million copies in North America and the UK alone.  Now I could do something cute, and equate 400 million to something tangible for the common man, like 40 billion pennies.  Instead, I'm just going to offer two quotes from Activision's press release.  The first is from Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing:

Saints Row: The Third Season Pass and DLC Details, Sequel Confirmed

THQ has already announced that Saints Row: The Third will have "about 40 weeks worth of downloadable digital content after the launch."  This is great news for any up-and-coming Third Street gangster.  The bad news is that you'll have to pay for it.  This is the company that blocked system link with an online pass, which is not to be confused with the recently announced Saints Row Season Pass.  The Season Pass will net you the first four DLCs for about 15% off.

Retro Never Looked So Good

PixelJunk SideScroller Co-Op Review

Q Games have made quite a name for themselves on the PlayStation 3 with their series of downloadable titles called PixelJunk. We've already seen a lot of great co-op games in the series including PixelJunk Shooter 1 and 2 and PixelJunk Monsters. The latest game is called PixelJunk SideScroller and it shares a lot of similarities with the Shooter titles including some slick visuals, element dynamics, and great music. But just how different is it and how deep is the co-op?

Who Wants Five New Saints Row: The Third Videos? You Do!

Saints Row: The Third comes out next week. You've probably seen a video or two of the game's brazen debauchery on this very sight.  Today we have not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE new videos!  Actually, it's four new videos.  One is a trailer followed by a longer, 13 minutes live action version of Professor Genki's Super Ethical Reality Climax.  I figured the trailer could serve as a warning before you willingly gave yourself brain damage.  Seriously, it's 13 minutes of WTF.  And remember, picture all of the in-game videos with another player, because the entire game supports two player online co-op!

The Cursed Crusade Co-Op Review

The Cursed Crusade would, on the surface, seem to have a lot going for it. Screenshots looked nice, the altered historical setting seemed interesting, and combat looked to have a lot of variety due to the abundance of weapons and customization. Topping it all off, the game featured two player co-op, in both local and online flavors. Indeed, it sounds promising upon first glance, but the game falls far short of these expectations upon even the briefest scrutiny.
