Indie PC game Orion: Dino Beatdown is a co-op shooter filled with fantastic ideas like pitting space dudes against dinosaurs. Unfortunately, the actual game had so many awkward design decisions and mistakes, it felt like the developers hadn't played a FPS game in the last five years. After debuting to scathing reviews like our own, Orion received one major update - but the PR damage had already been done. Rather than continue cooking a dead turkey, developer Spiral Game Studios has decided to start fresh (after a fashion) by releasing a sequel: Orion: Dino Beatdown - Jurassic Edition.

The Xbox LIVE Marketplace is having a huge sale on EA games, many of which support some form of cooperative play. I know some of you think EA is an all-powerful, nightmarish entity that usually passes time by eating children and kicking puppies, but when the publishing juggernaut is not being evil it happens to put out some pretty cool games. 

We've got a plethora of Dead Space 3 news for you today, some downright cool and some downright controversial.  While the previous Dead Space games were known for their ability to isolate you, making you feel lonely and helpless, the new game is allowing you to bring a buddy along for the ride in its two player online co-op mode.  But that's not the only way you can get help - an extensive list of resources can be purchased via micro-transactions.

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation has received a fresh batch of premium DLC adding in new maps, news enemies, and a brand new survival mode for you to play with your co-op partner.  The maps for survival now have a set progression to them and they also include environmental hazards that you can ensnare enemies in.

Oh, Baldur's Gate. If you've been serious at all about RPGS on the PC over the past 15 years, you've probably at least heard of this classic RPG that set Bioware on its way to becoming a household name. In our review we'll both address what's new in the Enhanced Edition as well as the general gameplay for newcomers to the game.

After a lengthy hiatus, we are back with another video edition of Co-Op Classics. I've been looking forward to featuring this pairing of games for a long time, and as the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines looms, it's finally time. Come celebrate two arcade classics from the golden age of the brawler, all featuring the famous xenomorphs of the Alien movies: Aliens and Alien vs. Predator.

What do we have here? I stop paying attention for a little while to handle some backlog business, and suddenly we have three cooperative games coming out in one week?!?! Is it September already? It's not? FANTASTIC! This week we have a dungeon crawler, a military shooter, and a 6DoF shooter.  Let's do this. 

Soul Sacrifice finally has an official release date. The four player cooperative game will be available in retailers and downloadable through the PlayStation Network on April 30th. Set in a dark fantasy world, players must sacrifice objects to harness magical spells. The more valuable the item, the more powerful the magic.  "Swordmaster's Seedlings" and "Giant's Bones" are good for basic combat, but what happens when you are faced with a truly  daunting enemy? Maybe you'll have to sacrifice one of your own limbs, or another player -- maybe even yourself.
