Bioware have released images of Mass Effect 3 for WiiU

Wii see U on the horizon: Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3; been there, done that, got the avatar t-shirt.  You may have completed the game on PC, PS3 or 360, but have any of you finished the WiiU version?  No, because it does not exists yet, but will by the end of the year.  Proof is in these images from Bioware, depicting the slightly better graphics and unique control interface for the WiiU version of the game.

The Behemoth Gives A Quick Rundown of BattleBlock Theater Features, Character Animation Video Included

BattleBlock Theater has been showcased in many different forms over the last couple of years, like at Comic-Con, PAX East, and E3, making its overall development stages somewhat difficult to keep up with without following The Behemoth’s official Developer's Blog or Twitter account. What they’ve been working on including in their title is quite impressive and we want as many people talking about the game as possible. Thankfully, Behemoth has given us a quick rundown of all the features BattleBlock Theater will be offering come release time, and we can’t be more excited for it.

Orcs Must Die! 2 Giveaway

Exclusive Guns of Icarus Online Video Interview

Howard Tsao, CEO of Muse Games recently delivered a presentation about his upcoming game Guns of Icarus Online's successful Kickstarter campaign to the attendees of Casual Connect Seattle. As I was in town for the same event, he kindly offered to demo and discuss the game with me on camera. We looked at the ship-to-ship combat, character customization, concept art, and more. Rise of the Triad Remake to Ascend onto PC

Before days of broadband, even before the days of decent modems, I would play PC games such as Rise of the Triad in co-op.  How, you may ask?  I would get my parents to drive my PC and I to a mate’s house and connect computers using serial cables – old school.  Thankfully, Rise is entering the realms of 2012/13 with the announcement of a PC remake.

Pid's Crook Boss Comes to Life in Animated and In-Game Forms

Since showcasing Pid at E3, developer Might & Delight has released a steady stream of trailers and screenshots to build up new hype. The latest trailer focuses on a screen-filling boss called The Crook, who we first glimpsed in a screenshot way back in December. Each Pid trailer does things differently from the last, though - 'The Hold-up Hustle' one actually starts with a hand-drawn cartoon before switching to actual gameplay. Don't worry, you'll still catch a new snippet of the game's wonderful soundtrack as well.

SNK Brings Two Co-Op Shoot-em-up Classics to iOS

Mobile phones and tablets are quickly becoming the platform of choice for shoot-em-up makers thanks to the mobile market's low costs of development and large audience. Now SNK is getting in on the action by releasing two much-loved Neo-Geo classics on iOS: Blazing Star, a side-scrolling shmup and Metal Slug 3, a shooter of the run-and-gun variety. Both sport a handful of enhancements as well as Blueooth co-op for two players.

Our Weekend in Gaming - A Virus Named BACKLOG Edition

While the world remains on a competitive stage, the Co-Optimus community would rather remain working together.  A lot of folks are still working on their back log, while others are on the go for summer travels, bringing their iPads or phones for their gaming fix.  A few new releases are on our schedules too, Orcs Must Die 2 and A Virus Named TOM are both excellent co-op games released this past week after a 6 week drought.
