DOOM 3: BFG Edition Lost Missions Trailer, QuakeCon Bundle Sale on Steam

QuakeCon is going on right now in the heart of Texas, where id and Bethesda are hosting one of the biggest LAN parties in the United States.  Also at QuakeCon?  Lots of good games from the publisher and the developer, including a recent reboot of the classic Apogee game Rise of the Triad.  Also on display is the upcoming re-release of DOOM 3.   DOOM 3: BFG Edition features enhanced graphics, 3D support, and new levels of gameplay - which is what the latest trailer is all about.

Max Payne 3's Co-Op DLC Coming This October

Max Payne 3's upcoming downloadable content has been reduced from five packs to three.  That's not to say there's now less content, but each pack has been combined with others to contain more value for the $10 price tag.  We've been waiting with bated breath for the announced co-op DLC since the game was released back in May, but so far, it's alluded us.  Now it seems we finally have a date.  The co-op pack will be released as part of the Deathmatch Made in Heaven pack, which releases this October.

Project Lodus Looks Promising - Needs to be Kickstarted First

Kickstarter is pretty darn spiffy, as it lets us consumers find projects we'd like to see made into a reality. One such example is Project Lodus by Leviathan Interactive. Designed as a cyberpunk-themed, action RPG, the designers are quite emphatic about it being envisioned as a great co-op experience - something we always love to hear around here.

A Virus Named TOM Co-Op Review

Misfits Attic’s A Virus Named Tom was a quirky little title when we first caught word of it last October. Between the tongue-in-cheek humor and the slight twist of playing as a “bad guy,” it seemed like it would be a pretty fun title. The inclusion of co-op play with up to 4 friends, though, was the one feature we honed in on – and it is the game’s best one.

Army of TWO: The Devil's Cartel Coming March 2013

Army of Two is back with a vengeance. EA and Visceral entertainment just announced Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel. This will be the third installment of the cooperative third person shooter franchise. The game will be set in Mexico, in the middle of a vicious drug war. Salem and Rios are out, Alpha and Bravo are in. Players will still be working for Tactical Worldwide Operations as private military contractors (I like to think of them as "bro-cenaries" or "merc-bros"). My blood money says we can expect to see Salem and Rios, the bro-iest of bro-op buddies, appear as NPCs.
