Leedmees Co-Op Review
A Kinect game that lets one or two players direct mindless creatures to safety with their bodies... What could go wrong? Oh, we’ll tell you what went wrong.

PC gamers might remember the Jane's series of flight simulator games. Started in 1996 and published by Electronic Arts with Jane's Advanced Tactical Fighters, the realistic flight simulators had each game focusing on an interesting aircraft or type of aircraft. My personal favorite was Jane's Longbow 2 which focused on the aircraft of the same name. The name of the series may seem odd to some, but it comes from the Jane's Information Group, a group founded in the 19th century focused on sketching realistic models of ships.
This year's Eurogamer Expo was packed to the gills with co-op titles. Part 1 of the Roundup looks at some of the more 'mature' titles; RAGE, Binary Domain and Lord of the Rings: War in the North.
We reported back in May that preorders of Dark Souls would receive free upgrades to the Collector’s Edition of the game. Originally, the Collector’s Edition was set to include a metal case, art book, mini strategy guide, behind-scenes-videos disc, and download code for the game’s soundtrack. The Collector’s Edition is still coming, but the contents of the box have been given a slight downgrade.
Welcome to Beyond Co-Op, a weekly piece that talks about industry stories that may or may not be related to co-op gaming.
Kinect games have great potential for wackiness. Nowhere is this more clear than Diabolical Pitch, a recently-announced XBLA title from Grasshopper Manufacture. How many other games cast players as baseball pitchers who use super-powered throws against armies of monsters in a carnival setting?
This just might be the LEAST diverse Our Weekend in Gaming ever. Typically, there are many different games mentioned, but this time, most everyone is playing either Gears of War 3 or the Diablo 3 beta. Both games are the pinnacle of achievement for their respective genres, and, for those of us lucky enough to have the choice, it's very difficult to decide which to play first! I know, I know; it's a good problem to have.
Demon's Souls refuses to go gently into that good night. The painfully difficult action RPG was originally scheduled to have its servers shut down this October. While this would have had no impact on the offline portion of the game, the much loved/hated online components would have been forever lost, ending the player messages, bloodstains, co-op, and PVP which have made the game so successful. Atlus has decided to continue server support until 2012. A wise decision, considering the newfound interest that is sure to come from the release of Dark Souls, the sequel/not a sequel to Demon's Souls.
Diablo 3. I honestly wasn’t sure I’d ever be playing this game. 10 years is a long time to wait for a sequel, and technically, it’s still not here yet. After putting years of my life into Diablo 2, firing up the beta for 3 seemed surreal, but it definitely wasn’t all that unfamiliar.
It wasn't long ago that we told you that Beat Hazard Ultra was coming to PSN in September. Well September is almost over and there's still no Beats to be Hazard. That's because the game has gotten a slight delay, after all - it's a one man development team. Don't fret - there's an official release date, and that date is, October 18th.
Indie-Ana Co-Op returns on a new day! This week, we travel back through time to stop an alien from destroying the Earth. It’s like that Jake Gyllenhal movie… only with more aliens and blood, and less romantic subplot
Call of Duty: Black Ops is getting (what I would suspect to be) its final installment of DLC. The awesome zombie map pack, "Resurrection" goes live on the PlayStation 3 and PC today. The DLC will cost $15 bucks, but gamers who bought the Hardened and Prestige editions of CoD:BO can download it for free. The DLC features the new Moon map, as well as four re-masterd classic zombie maps. You can check out our impressions of it here. It's got zombies, space, and dual laser blasters. What more could you want? To celebrate the launch of this DLC Treyarch is having a Double XP weekend. Time to prestige.
