Playlogic just sent over the achievement and trophy list for their upcoming four player co-op game, Fairytale Fights. From what we've seen so far of it, the game is a brutal and violent take on classic children's fairytales complete with over the top humor.
With achievements that count the gallons of blood spilled, the distance skated on blood, and many others, there's plenty to entertain. We only spot 3 co-op specific achievements, those awarded for finishing the game with friends on the three difficulties, but all of them can be earned in co-op.

Somewhere down the field, your buddy runs free.
With the inclusion of an online co-op mode in this years Madden game, comes the inclusion of co-op Achievements. Interestingly enough, the PlayStation 3 trophies for the game are entirely different and none are co-op specific.
The good news for gamerscore lovers are the three achievements total 165 points total, and with the exception of one of them - should be fairly easy to complete.

As August nears, more Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 3 (including Nazi Zombie map Der Riese) teasers are dropping: pictured above is a chunk of the newest wallpaper made available at CallofDuty.com this morning.
With the new desktop adornment comes the news that your Nazi Zombies mode stats are finally available to view, both in your CoD.com dossier and on the front page! Now you can see how many undead you've splattered, how many rounds you've played, and more.

Lets face it, one of the coolest things to happen this generation of gaming is the Achievement system. While Microsoft launched their console with it built in, Sony had to play catch up and add it later. And while the 360 had sites like Xbox360Achievements.org and MyGamerCard.net, well the PlayStation 3 just came up short.
That's all changing though as PlayStation Lifestyle has added a trophy portal to their site. With it you can get complete access to all the trophies available in PlayStation 3 games. Not only are current games listed, but unreleased titles have found their way onto the site. Be on the look out for the co-op gaming trophies in games like Resident Evil 5, Resistance 2, and Red Alert 3!
So what do you think? Are Achievements and Trophies a worthy addition to our gaming habits?

The official Call of Duty website has been supplemented with a mini-site, and fresh images from the upcoming Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 (including Japanese Zombie map Shi No Numa) are available for viewing and download.
Also available is the above image in full wallpaper sizes.
So far, however, the placeholder space for Shi No Numa in-game screenshots remains blank; Treyarch is keeping mum about their surprise hit co-op mode addition, and with less than a month before release. Instead, there is a description that confirms that ten Trophies and Achievements will be available exclusively in Shi No Numa.
Map Pack 2 will be available sometime in June.

We're less than a month away from the Ghostbusters video game. Pretty soon we'll be side by side with our buddy, proton pack to proton pack, crossing streams like a champion in the game's online cooperative mode. Or, perhaps if you are a Wii owner, you'll be playing through the game's campaign mode in local co-op.
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners will get something the Wii owners don't have, Achievements and Trophies! IGN has revealed the entire list for the game and there's a few co-op specific achievements like completing a co-op campaign or reviving a fallen Ghostbuster 25 times.

PlayStation 3 owners have travelled a long road to get here, but Sony finally has their trophy system extended off the PlayStation 3 and onto the web.
By heading to the Trophy Page - players can view the progress of all of their in-game trophies that they've completed to date. You'll also be able to view all available trophies for a game.
One thing noticeably absent is the ability to view and compare trophies with friends - something that is painfully slow when done through the XMB. Thankfully, according to the Official PlayStation Blog, we'll be seeing this feature sometime later this year.
My guess is it won't be long now until we see a site like MyGamerCard pop up for trophies.

Starting next year, finding a PS3 game with support for trophies won't be shocking anymore. Videogamer reports that beginning in 2009, all new Playstation 3 titles will be required to have trophy support. I think we can all agree this is a good thing. There have been lots of problems with "patch it in later" trophies. If you had earned a trophy before the patch, you were out of luck and had to earn it again. Not a good thing! Whether you like achievments and trophies or not, it's good to see Sony keeping up with Microsoft as far as this type of feature is concerned.

Rockstar has sent along word that a brand new patch for Grand Theft Auto IV on the PlayStation 3 has gone live, and with it comes trophy support for the game. That's the good news. The bad news is the patch is not retroactive, so you'll need to create a new game to begin earning those covetted trophies in Liberty City.
This patch also helps PS3 owners fight (or become) part of the Zombie Infestation on the online multiplayer and co-op modes.

Good news Trophy whores! And I mean that in the nicest possible sense. Pandemic Studios has released a patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames adding full trophy support!
There are 40 total trophies available (posted after the break) including some co-op specific ones! In fact, just for TRYING co-op you get a trophy.
The only bad news is the trophies aren't retroactive, so if you've already completed the game you are going to need to run through it again. Still unsure about Mercs 2? Perhaps you should check out our co-op review! Just watch out for flying trophies.
