With the upcoming release of Borderlands 3, Gearbox announced at the Microsoft E3 panel that their previous title, Borderlands 2, will be receiving DLC that bridges the story gap between the two games. The catch is that it's only available on current-gen iterations of the game, which means you'll need to own Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 (PC players, you're fine with just Borderlands 2). However, the DLC is free to snag that until July 3; after that it's $14.99.

About a year and a half ago, we heard that Asmodee Digital was working on bringing Fantasy Flight's The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game to PC and Mac sometime in 2018. It was delayed a bit, and has a new name, but The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game will be arriving soon on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch this August!

Bethesda released a hell of a trailer for Wolfenstein: Youngblood at E3 2019 this year. The first from the ground up co-op Wolfenstein puts players in the roles of BJ Blazkowicz's daughters as they attempt to rescue him in an alternate history 1980s Paris. 

The newest DLC for State of Decay 2 is now available. Titled "Heartland," this content features a new 10-hour campaign that takes place on a new (but familiar) map with all new survivors. The good news is that it's still cooperative, so your friends can join in and help you build up your base and take on missions/zombies. The bad news is that it is entirely separate from the main campaign, so you'll be starting fresh and can't bring any of those survivors over.

There are a lot of big changes on the way for Destiny 2. Last week, Bungie released a new video documentary (aka, "ViDoc") that not only covered the next big expansion that's arriving this September, but also a digital storefront change, cross-save across all platforms, and a free-to-play version of the game that includes all of the content from Destiny 2's first year. During Microsoft's E3 press conference yesterday, Thunder Lotus debuted their next title, and it looks to be a little different from their past two (Jotun and Sundered). Spiritfarer places you in the role of Stella, a ferrymaster who's job is to care for spirits before taking them to the afterlife. It is, as Creative Director Nicolas Guérin put it, "a positive game about loss, friendship, empathy, and what is left behind."

Microsoft and Mojang, the original creators of Minecraft, have announced a new game in the series set to the tone and style of the original but with a completely new gameplay style. Called Minecraft Dungeons, the game is an action RPG set to release on Xbox One and PC in the spring of 2020.

It's been almost three years since the news broke that Wasteland 3 from iNXile Entertainment would feature cooperative gameplay, a first for the series. Now we're getting our first glimpse at the strategy RPG game in action and...it looks fantastic.

We've finally got our first glimpse of Battletoads, the game that was teased at E3 last year during the Microsoft Press conference. I'm actually fairly confident a Battletoads reboot has been rumored since 2015. This year Microsoft has unleashed the details as players get a chance to jump back into the legs of Rash, Zitz, and Pimple.

Last week, Nintendo held a special Pokémon Direct that was focused entirely on the two forthcoming games for the Switch: Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Similar to past titles in the popular franchise, you'll be running around a fictional world with all sorts of wild creatures for you to capture, train, and use in battles. Those battles - whether against other players or the various Gym Leaders - have always been a big part of the Pokémon series, but they're about to get even bigger with a new co-op feature: Max Raid Battles.

A new co-op, Action-RPG (or ARPG for short) is on the way. Killsquad, from the Barcelona-based Novarama, has been announced with an exciting trailer and a Steam Early Access release set for the fast approaching “Summer 2019”. While an exact date has not been pinned down at this time, the game will be making an appearance at E3 2019, meaning if the sole trailer isn’t enough to satisfy your ARPG needs there is likely to be more info trickling out as we near the already close Early Access release.
