It seems so long ago that we got that surprise free update for Team Fortress 2, one in which added the Mann vs Machine co-op mode for 6 players.  In reality, it has only been two months.  One complaint we had with the mode was that it was pretty friggin hard, combined with some match making difficulties, it didn't quite catch on with us as much as we thought it should.   A new update for the game directly addresses both issues and adds new content to boot.

Halloween is meant to be the scariest night of the year, so what better day to launch the PC version of Painkiller: Hell & Damnation?  Personally, I find that after some great Halloween parties it is November 1st that Painkillers come in handy the most, but who am I to tell Nordic Games what to do?

Is your Tokyo Jungle roster missing something? If you've been playing the quirky little brawler/survival game you've probably noticed the five locked animals toward the bottom of the character select screen. (Okay, there are many, many locked animals when your first start the game, but five of the animals are trapped behind red colored locks.) The Giraffe, Crocodile, Panda, Kangaroo, and Sabertooth have been taunting me for two weeks. Today, four of these five creatures are available for purchase from the PlayStation Store.

Gearbox Software has surprised us all with the release of the 5th Borderlands 2 class, The Mechromancer, a week ahead of schedule.

Nick hit me up the other day about reviewing a new gaming mouse, the Roccat Savu. I asked him if he was sure, because new tech and I don't get along very well. He said he knew I could handle it, so I grudgingly complied. My inner monolog was already scolding me: "Oh no, free stuff. And you have to play with it. What a bummer. Truly you live a horrible life." I got my hands on the mouse and then I got my game on.

EA have just released a handful of new screenshots for the two player co-op survival horror game Dead Space 3.  The screens showcase Isaac Clarke's new "space suit" as he navigates through zero gravity envioronments avoiding space garbage along the way.  Seriously, can we get a cleanup on orbit 27?

Co-Opticast Episode 94 is upon you and with it comes an episode full of different opinions on Resident Evil 6, the latest in big co-op titles to release this fall. Miner Wars 2081 has finally hit its beta phase after extensive alpha and pre-alpha testing from the community.  The game is now being balanced and tweaked, getting ready for release sometime later this year on PC.  Miner Wars 2081 features both single player and co-op gameplay as well as some versus elements in a six degrees of freedom type game - think classic PC game series Descent.  The team has a Greenlight Page up to try to get Miner Wars 2081 onto Valve's Steam service.

Legends don't develop overnight; they take centuries of retelling around campfires, on parchment and over the internet, before they become lore.  Therefore, to expect Rayman Legends to be released for the WiiU launch in 2012 is surely asking too much?  To become Legend, it must mature into 2013 - or perhaps Ubisoft have just not finished tinkering with the game.

With the next Peter Jackson film, “The Hobbit”, arriving in theaters in a couple of months, now is a great time to reacquaint yourselves with the mystical world of Tolkien. Monolith Productions has released a video and a few new artworks of two more characters being featured in the future Xbox LIVE Arcade game, Guardians of Middle-Earth.

Opening up the Resident Evil 6 box, it looks quite empty.  We've got a disc and a card for a Blu-Ray movie...and that's it.  No manual to be seen.  That's ok right?  There must be an in game manual, something EA Sports has been doing for the past few years.  Nope - nada - we are manual free here folks.  What gives Capcom?  

Serious Sam 3: BFE will be coming to the XBLA later this month. The old-school first person shooter was a blast on PC and supported four player local co-op and 16 player online co-op. The XBLA version will still feature plenty of co-op, but not on the same scale. According to the game's listing on the XBL Marketplace it will feature two player local co-op and four player online co-op. Not bad.
