The closest I have ever got to firing off a weapon in anger is Clay Pigeon Shooting.  The whip of the pottery skeet and boom of the shotgun feels primeval, but I can't quite get over the fact that I have to wear a tweed jacket.  I want to wear full camo and have a series of different and mind-blowingly powerful weapons to fire off.  To get my wish I may have to visit the world of Ghost Recon Future Solider, the new trailer shows a multitude of new weapons, as well as some fearsome gameplay footage.

Orion: Dino Beatdown, a promising co-op 1st-person shooter, comes to Steam and OnLive this Friday. If you're like me and have long felt the urge to deliver beatings of a downward variety to hordes of terrible lizards, this will seem like a long week. Thankfully developer Spiral Studios has released a new video documentary and handful of screenshots for their anti-dino shooter that may PC tide gamers over until release day.

Back in January, A World of Keflings developer NinjaBee announced a contest to let fans choose which direction the XBLA game's next downloadable content package would take. Not surprisingly, the candy-themed selection 'Candy for Keflings' bested the rest. Four months later, the DLC has yet to arrive, but NinjaBee has kindly provided a status update and new images (like the one above) to tide us over.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's sales figures are underperforming. The fastest selling game of all time has sold less units than its predecessor, Call of Duty: Black Ops. This is according to analysts at Macquarie Equities. The actual numbers are not made public, so I guess we'll have to take their word for it. Hell, good enough for Gamasutra, good enough for me.  Sales were most notably down in March, where the military shooter only perfomed half as well as it did at this time last year.

Mass Effect 3 is by all accounts, a damn good game that's selling quite well.  According to Gamespot, the game has sold over 1.3 million copies across the 360, PS3 and PC.  Bravo.

Come on, April, you're killing me. After a stellar March we're still limping through this dud of a month. Game quality has been okay-ish, but the quantity of co-op games has been dreadful. We've got two games coming out this week. Ones features zombies, the other has dinosaurs. Ninja Gaiden 3 had a zombie dinosaur, and we all know how that worked out.

Everybody stay calm! You may have noticed that you're having difficulty logging into the PlayStation Network today. Online gaming, the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and the ability to access and manage your accounts are all offline. This is part of scheduled maintenance. Obviously, online co-op has been disabled for all of you favorite PlayStation 3, PSN, and Vita games. How long will the system be down?

This one has me a bit confused.  The title of the game is called Majestic-12 and it's a retro style co-op action game.  Sweet I thought, that could be pretty chaotic with twelve players.  As I continue to read the description I read it says only four player co-op, ok, still cool in my mind.  But I read on and learn that you are one of only two surviving members of a group called the Majestic 12.  Let's dig deeper into this XBLA and PC game, shall we?

What up, weekenders! It's time for BEYOND CO-OP! This is our regular weekly column where we share some of our favorite game industry news that doesn't necessarily involve cooperative gaming. As we inch closer to a May release of a certain game, some of the staff felt it would be wise to play a 10 year old prequel to celebrate.  Others will be diving into Mass Effect 3 and its new co-op content and one staff member is determined to go to the hospital with a dislocated shoulder.  Surprisingly not many of us are playing FEZ, the Indie darling that came out on XBLA today.  That may change though.  Ahhh...Spring.

With only a few weeks away until its release, Blizzard will be initiating another huge release of Diablo III beta keys, giving the lucky beta-testers a chance to play the game before its upcoming May release.
