New Video Features Two Player Co-Op In The Adventures of Tintin

We just recently found out that The Adventures of Tintin: The Game has a two person local co-op mode.  The movie tie-in is a platformer with some other genres mixed in for good measure.  We have a new video today where you can see some of the gameplay elements as well as the co-op mode in action.  It looks kind of interesting and there seem to be multiple puzzle elements.  You can even play as Tintin's dog, Snowy (Or Milou, si vous parlez français.)

Gearbox Holds Casting Call for Borderlands 2 Live Action Lilith

Do you want to be in a video game?  Do you look like the subject in the lead image? (The human, not the robot.)  Are you going to be in Texas tomorrow?  Or more accurately, Dallas, Texas?  Gearbox Software is holding a casting call for a live action version of Borderlands' Lilith.  Whoever wins the role will appear in Borderlands 2.  The role will be similar to that of the Guardian Angel from the first game.

The Darkness II Adds 4 Player Online Co-Op

There used to be a time when game developers added a deathmatch mode to a game simply so they could have the multiplayer bullet point on the back of the box.  It seems though now we've gone a different, and much more preferred method, co-op.  Single player games have been adding a co-op mode to increase replayability and interest, titles like Mass Effect 3 and Syndicate spring to mind immediately.  The latest game to follow this trend is 2K Games The Darkness II which is out early next year on consoles and PC.

Let Me Sell You Something

Xbox 360 Metro Dashboard Impressions and Video Tour

"Let me sell you something."  That's the only phrase I can think of when I see the new Xbox 360 Dashboard, which is out now on your console via a free update.  The updated dashboard replaces the "New Xbox Experience" design which came out almost 3 years ago.  The latest iteration puts the dashboard in line with a new design philosophy at Microsoft brought on by Windows Phone 7 called "Metro" - square tiles that bubble up information to the user in a simple and clean design.  There's one problem with the implementation on the Xbox 360 though - it's anything but clean.

Co-Op Release Alert for the Week of 12.5.2011

That's it!  I've had it!  I'm going to stop declaring the 2011 gaming season officially over.  Every time I prepare to put the Co-Op Release Alert on winter hiatus a new game decides to launch.  This week was looking pretty bleak until this tweet popped up.  Thanks, Frozenbyte.  You've guaranteed a Co-Op Release Alert all the way up until Christmas.  Jerks.
