Special Operations Are Better In Pairs

Modern Warfare Spec Ops Co-op Confirmed

With the flurry of information that comes during E3 every year some nuggets of information can get skimmed over, and this particular one is pure gold. During the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare E3 Coliseum panel hosted by Geoff Keighley, members of the development team from Infinity Ward revealed that not only will the Special Operations (“Spec Ops” for short) return to the upcoming reimagining of the Modern Warfare series, but it will still feature co-op.

An MMO that's 7 years old will still hold up, right?

Phantasy Star Online 2 Will Be Released Outside of Japan Next Year

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... remember seven years ago when Sega said they'd bring their action-RPG MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 to the U.S.? Well, guess what?! They were telling the truth! ... Eventually! Amid all the other news coming out last week during E3 2019, the one bit that was perhaps the most surprising was that this F2P game would be making its way to the Xbox One and Windows 10 sometime "Spring 2020."

As part of that demonstration, they also announced that there would be a lot of ways to play the game with friends and family.

No longer a side-scrolling run-and-gun, the franchise is shifting to third-person twin-stick shooter

[E3 2019] - Contra Will Return This Fall With CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS

Here's an interesting thing to come out of E3: Konami is releasing a new ContraCONTRA: ROGUE CORPS appears to be a sort of sequel to Contra III: Alien Wars, which you can now enjoy for the first time or all-over again in the Contra Anniversary Collection, as the official background for the game reads "two years after the Alien Wars had ended..." and the game's director is Nobuya Nakazato, who was also the director for Contra III and Hard Corps. Regardless of where it falls within the larger Contra canon, the game looks... pretty... interesting.

So many days in college spent on my PC with an emulator, a fan translation, and Seiken Densetsu 3...

[E3 2019] - Relive Your SNES aRPG Days With Collection of Mana

During their E3 Direct, Nintendo announced the Collection of Mana was coming to the States that very day (it's available to purchase digitally now). This bundle of the first three Mana games - Final Fantasy AdventureSecret of Mana, and Trials of Mana [aka Seiken Densetsu 3] - was released in Japan back in 2017, and fans of those titles gazed from afar wondering if they'd ever bring it to other territories. Amazingly, they have, and you can play all of these games in English, French, or German (and for Trials, Spanish, too).

The year of "Gooigi"

[E3 2019] - Luigi's Mansion 3 Will Have A Few Different Co-Op Options

Last year, Nintendo revealed that Luigi would once again be busting (vacuuming?) some ghosts in Luigi's Mansion 3. At the time, though, all that was revealed was the game's existence and that it would be out sometime in 2019. During their E3 Nintendo Direct this week, they finally showed off more of the title and announced some exciting ways to play with friends: campaign co-op and "ScareScraper Mode."

There's a lot happening in this trailer

[E3 2019] - People Can Fly's Next Game is Outriders, A Co-Op Shooter

Monday night, Polish developer People Can Fly made their return to the gaming world after what's felt like a long-time silent. After getting acquired by Epic Games, then splitting from them after the release of Gears of War: Judgment, we haven't heard much from them other than the Bulletstorm remaster. At the Square-Enix E3 press conference, they debuted their game: Outriders, a "co-op shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe." Based on the trailer alone (because that's all we've got right now), this is looking like a very interesting game.
