Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor Demo Live, New Video Displays Kinect Controls

I have played the Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor demo, and it's... different. The mech game requires the use of both a controller and the Xbox 360's Kinect sensor. I've been curious about the title since it was announced back in 2010, even more so when a four player co-op mode was revealed last month. Do the Kinect and 360 controller play well together? Check out the following video to get an idea for how everything works.

Diablo 3 Breaks PC Sales Records in First Week, First Patch Released Too

When Diablo 2 launched in 2000, I worked at a store called Electronics Boutique, the predecessor to Gamestop.  I still remember walking into the back room and seeing a stack of boxes twice as high as myself and thinking - damn - that's a lot of copies of that game.  But apparently that was nothing.  Blizzard have announced that Diablo 3 has sold over 6.5 million copies in its first week alone, with 4.7 million of those sales coming on the FIRST DAY.  And you wonder why you had an Error 37.

Scourge: Outbreak Erupting onto XBLA, PSN, and Mac this Year

The word scourge is not used frequently enough in common vernacular, losing most of its kudos after American Prohibition and the Scourge of Alcohol.  Well pour yourselves a pint, because not only is booze legal, but a new game is coming called Scourge: Outbreak.  This 4 player online co-op game is coming to Mac, XBLA and PSN later in the year and confronts the player with stumbling enemies.  These enemies are not drunk, but a bit dead.  Find out more and check out some screens after the jump.

This Week in Co-Op: Chris Teaches Paul Minecraft

Chris says: I find it hard to believe that I’ve been with Co-Optimus for almost half a year now. Time sure does fly when you’re writing about things you like. I feel like I’ve grown more as a writer than I ever have before. But other than my participation in staff meetings and the various pizza lunches with boss man, Nick, I don’t really play with these guys as much as I’d like. That’s why I got excited when Paul and I were being paired up for a co-op session, especially since we were going to play a game I have been going gaga over lately: Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.

New Screens For Inversion (Yep, Still Not Out Yet)

It seems like we're been showing you guys new screens and new videos for third-person shooter Inversion for, well, forever now. And yes, most of the associated news posts have had eyeroll-worthy references and puns about gravity, so you've probably had more than your fill of those by now. The good news? Not only will I refrain from such puns, but we have yet another batch of screenshots! The bad news? The game still isn't out yet! Inversion has suffered from a crazy amount of delays. The final good news? It's due out June 5th (for reals, this time... we hope).
