No more content disparity between the PC and console versions

Console and PC Content Updates Will Finally Align for Monster Hunter: World

After getting out a patch that addressed some major issues with the PC version of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, Capcom continued the good news train with announcing this weekend that they would finally get all versions of the game aligned so that event quests and other content would be available at the same time. Ever since the PC version released back in August 2018, there's been a content delay of at least a few weeks between it and the consoles. With Title Update 3 (coming sometime April 2020), that'll all be a thing of the past.

The real monster was technology

Fixes for CPU Usage and Corrupt Save Data Are Incoming for Monster Hunter: World

The Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter: World finally arrived on PC last week (4 months after its console debut), and the initial response was not great. For some players, the game was nearly unplayable as they noticed their CPU usage went through the roof, while others were greeted with a message that the title was unable to read their existing save data and would they like to create new data (the official answer to that is: NO!) Capcom was quickly made aware of these issues and the Monster Hunter development team has been working on fixes. A couple of days ago, the official Monster Hunter Twitter account let everyone know that an update will be out soon to address both of these problems.

The New World is getting a teensy bit spookier.

Monster Hunter: World Is Getting Resident Evil Content In November

Monster Hunter: World was a critical and commercial hit when it arrived in the beginning of 2018, and by all accounts, the game has only gotten bigger and better since.  A sizable expansion arrived last month in the form of "Iceborne", but that doesn't mean Capcom is resting on their laurels.  Instead, they're pushing out even more content in November, albeit in a form you might not expect.

If You Missed It: Iceborne Expansion Won't Arrive on PC Until 2020

There's been a lot of good words floating around out there about the forthcoming "Iceborne" expansion for Monster Hunter: World. The quality-of-live improvements, in particular, have been appreciated, but there's a lot of content there, too. There's also been a few bad words floating around: delayed release on PC. It wasn't clear how long PC players would have to wait, but Capcom cleared that up: January 2020.

Being able to invite friends that aren't online when you are is a pretty big improvement, honestly

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Will Improve Some Squad Functionality

While Monster Hunter: World is the most approachable entry in the long-running series, there were still some issues that made it difficulty to co-op with friends whenever you wanted. As we learned from a recent Game Informer Q&A, you'll still have to wait for friends to watch certain mid-mission cutscenes before you'll be able to join them, but a recent developer diary discussing the forthcoming "Iceborne" expansion highlighted one improvement on the co-op front: inviting offline friends to your "Squad."

You still have to wait for your co-op partner to watch cutscenes, too...

Iceborne Will Be The First and Only Expansion to Monster Hunter: World

Game Informer's Jeff Cork recently sat down with Daisuke Ichihara and Ryozo Tsujimoto - the director and producer (respectively) for the forthcoming Monster Hunter: World expansion, "Iceborne" - for a "Rapid-Fire Questions" interview and got a few details about what to expect. The bad news? This will be the only expansion to Monster Hunter: World. The worst news? You still can't skip cutscenes and you still have to wait for your buddy to watch one before you can join their hunt...

Three New Weapon Trailers Out For Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Step aside, weaklings, the new Monster Hunter World trailers are in town.  Specifically, there are three of them, each focusing on the various weaponry changes happening in the game's forthcoming expansion, "Iceborne".  All in all, there's about ten minutes worth of footage spread between the trailers, so you might want to go fix a cup of tea, coffee, or whatever else helps you focus before reading on.

Monster Hunter: World Is Getting An Icy Expansion This Fall

One of last year's more interesting stories was that of Monster Hunter: World's relatively rabid success.  The game's ability to widen its accessibility to more mainstream audiences while still mostly maintaining the magic of the franchise made it a bonafide hit for Capcom.  So naturally, they've supported MH:W heavily since its early 2018 release.
