Open Demo for Anthem Drops Next Month

CES 2019 is officially underway and amidst all the tech announcements of newer TVs, new fridges with TVs, and (I'm guessing here) washer/dryers with TVs, there's a bit of gaming news, too. BioWare's third-person RPG shooter, Anthem, is coming out at the end of February, but before that you'll be able to check it out yourself during an "Open Demo" period at the beginning of February.

Retro FPS DUSK Will Be Getting Co-Op In 2019

If you miss the days of QuakeQuake II, and DOOM (1993) and wish someone would put out a modern version of those classics, then you may be interested in a little title called DUSK. This passion project draws a lot of inspiration from those famous PC FPS games of the early to mid 90s, and in a recent post, one of the developers stated that they have some additional features planned for the title this year, including a console release and co-op.

Killing Floor 2’s Brings Season’s Beatings

The Killing Floor 2: Season’s Beatings bundle is available until January 18th, bringing elves, bad Santa's, weapons and maps all down your chimney for another couple weeks. Also, Gary Busey appears to do voice work as Santa, meaning this may just be the best Christmas gift anyone has ever recieved - ever. If you don’t believe in Santa, that’s ok; Gary Busey also voices the Trader on Santa’s Workshop Map, so you will still be able to enjoy the gift of Gary.

JoyMasher's upcoming side-scrolling shooter, Blazing Chrome, looks to be all-set to scratch that Contra itch you've got (sorry, no cream for that). The latest gameplay trailer shows off most of one of the title's levels and watching this thing in action really makes me eager to get my hands on it "sometime 2019."
