Our Extra Life marathon starts tomorrow morning, and we're pumped. We've met our fundraising goal, planned our day, and we're ready to go. This group of Co-Optimus staff and community members couldn't be more excited. We have one more thing to ask of you before we start tomorrow: please donate! It may not have co-op, but XCOM is one of the most addictive games released this Fall.  Several of the staffers are addicted to the turn based strategy game from Firaxis.  In fact, my entire squad in the game is named after several staff members - and while some may have fallen, RIP Mike, Tally and Paul - several soldier on to defeat the alien menace.  

Remember Anarchy Reigns? Of course you do! Who could forget these videos? The giant online multiplayer brawler came out in Japan a few months ago, and it's heading to the US early next year. Like all Platinum Games projects, this title features insane action. Like, certifiably insane action. I played the demo and got my butt kicked repeatedly. I kind of loved it. 

Borderlands 2 has been out for a little over a month, and the role playing shooter has already received two impressive add-ons. The first content drop added a new playable character, Gaige the Mechromancer. She was included as a free bonus with all pre-orders.

Halo 4 is just over two weeks away, but today we've got the official launch trailer for the game.  This launch trailer won't be showcasing any gameplay, instead it attempts to humanize the Master Chief.  The just over two minute trailer is produced by David Fincher (Fight Club) and directed by Tim Miller (Scott Pilgrim vs the World) and it tells the story of a young boy who became a spartan - showing many of the scenes from the book Fall of Reach.

Digital Extreme Development Team members casually discuss two more of Warframe’s upcoming, epic characters, Loki and Mag, while drinking delicious coffee. After we watched this video, we immediately saw the similarities between Loki and Mag with their Borderlands 2 counterparts, Zero and Maya, and got extremely excited for its release day.

It’s somebody’s birthday! No, not just anyone’s, but a great co-op title we’ve come to love over this past year: Dungeon Defenders! Celebrating its franchise’s first year as a game, Trendy Entertainment and Reverb Publishing have released a new DLC for gamers to enjoy in the festivities. Over the next couple of weeks, gamers can purchase the “Dungeon Defenders Anniversary Pack” DLC for free online.

Dead Space 3 is still about four months away from launch, but yhat's not going to stop EA and Visceral Games from promoting it. New pre-order bonuses have been announced for Isaac Clarke and his new BFF, John Carver. If you pre-order Dead Space 3 you'll automatically be upgraded to the Limited Edition. This will grant you access to two new suits and two extra weapons.

Ubisoft have just revealed the full character lineup of their Marvel Avengers Kinect game featuring 20 playable heroes from the comic book universe.  Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth is set to be released on October 30th and has players choosing a hero to play as in a fighting game powered by Kinect.  Yuuuuup - you're gonna be jumping around your living room pretending to be a comic book character to play this one - it's ok, we know you do that anyway in your feetie pajamas.

Happy Wars, from Japanese developer Toylogic and Microsoft Studios is the first free-to-play Xbox Live Arcade game. With massive 15-on-15 competitive battles and 15-player co-op, it's a strong multiplayer title. But will comp stomping the AI in Co-Op provide an enduring experience? Read on to find out!

That's right, information for the second Borderlands 2 campaign add-on has been leaked. Actually, I don't think "leaked" is the right word - "teased" seems to be more appropriate. Three new Trophies appeared in a  PlayStation 3 update when "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty" went live two days ago. A similar update outed the"Captain Scarlett" DLC when the Mechromancer add-on became available. Either Gearbox keeps on making the same mistakes, or they know exactly what they're doing.  

Astro have just announced a new version of their popular A40 headsets.  The 2013 refresh of the premium lineup includes a host of new features to both the headsets themselves and the mixamp.  This refresh comes a few months after Astro released their first wireless set - the Astro A50.
