Dead Island Riptide To Be Released At a Slightly Cheaper Price Point

I've been hearing rumblings for some time, but could we be seeing a return to the $50 game?  At least one AAA title coming soon will be bucking the trend with Deep Silver's Dead Island: Riptide coming in at $49.99 on all platforms, including the console versions.  The new game's price reflects where it fits in the current life cycle of consoles, at least, according to Aubrey Norris - head of PR for Deepsilver.

A 30 sec video gives you a glimpse into Sam Fisher's next opus

Short, Sweet and Deadly - The Splinter Cell Blacklist Teaser

Like a garden gnome holding a flick-knife, the new teaser trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist may be short, but it packs a whole lot of deadly in its petite frame.  Due in spring 2013, Blacklist will have co-op, but in what form?  Previous Sam Fisher adventure Splinter Cell Conviction had one of the best standalone co-op modes this generation; will Blacklist go the same route, or try something completely different?

This Week in Co-Op: Spotting and Sniping in Sniper Elite V2 (Warning: Video Includes an Abundance of Headshots)

Jason     On the heels of his return from E3, I asked Andrew what game he wanted to play for our This Week in Co-Op piece. “I’m feeling something shooty,” he said. “Have you tried that Sniper Elite V2 game yet?” I had not. It was a game that had flown under my radar, but I was willing to give it a shot. The backup plan was Outland, a game that is decidedly not “shooty,” but still fun. So after I got home from work, I downloaded the demo and started playing. Within the first minute of play, I watched my slow motion bullet tear through a guy’s skull and explode out the other side...

E3 2012: Randy Pitchford Talks Co-Op Gaming, Borderlands 2 and Gearbox

One of our highlights of E3 was when we got to talk to Gearbox Software's President, Randy Pitchford.  The studio has cranked out some great co-op games over the past few years including the insanely popular Borderlands.  Now, with three co-op games on the horizon (Brothers in Arms: Furious 4, Borderlands 2, and Aliens: Colonial Marines) the studio is fully invested in co-op...but why?

Watch out, you yellow turbans (again)

Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires Announced, Trailer Revealed

Have you been thinking to yourself that it's been too long since you've massacred countless yellow turbans? Well, if not, too bad! Another Dynasty Warriors game is on the way: Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires. Currently slotted as a PS3 exclusive, DW7: Empires is due out September 20th in Japan with a western release planned for sometime in 2013. A new character will be added (Xu Shu) as well as an in-depth political and tactical system. Other than that, though, little is known; however, being a Dynasty Warriors game, I'm sure you can fill in a lot of the gaps.

Alien Fear Screens Are Too Pretty to be Scary

It's been sometime since we first heard about Alien Fear, the download FPS from developer City Interactive.  Apparently the game was being shown off at E3 2012, but the Co-Opticrew failed to find it.  Sad too, because the two player co-op game looks really slick.  If the graphic quality in these screenshots are any indication of the quality of the overall product, I think we're in for a pretty solid experience.
