MASSIVE SCREENS with Serious Sam Double D XXL

Base humor has been part of gaming ever since Larry first put on his Leisure Suit.  In many ways Serious Sam Double D XXL is just trying to keep on this venerable tradition in the form of a local 2 player co-operative shooter.  However, rather than dated and tasteless attempts at sleeping with the opposite sex, Double D is populated with giant gorillas, dinosaurs and guns, guns, guns.

Pure Nintendo rumors haven't been completely affirmed by Ubisoft.

Ubisoft Partially Confirms Rayman Legends' Release Date

Online magazine, Pure Nintendo, initially posted an “exclusive” announcement stating Rayman Legends’ official release date, which has officially been debunked somewhat by publisher Ubisoft as of today. Co-op gamers will be glad to know that the game will be given an early 2013 release rather than a much later one!

Dog Fight, Mad Survival, and Bayonetta

Anarchy Reigns Pre-Order Bonus Videos

Last month we told you about about the extra content coming to those of you who pre-order Anarchy Reigns, the massive online brawler. If you pre-order the game from Gamestop you'll get access to Bayonetta as a playable character, as well as two new multiplayer modes. Yup, it's another one of those pesky deals exclusive to GameStop. Them's the breaks.

PSA: Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition Currently Has a Co-Op Issue

I received my review copy for Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition Thanksgiving weekend. I was a little sad when I found out that currently the game only supports TCP/IP co-op, mostly because it meant I couldn't try out the co-op until release (I didn't know anyone else that had an early review copy). November 28th rolled around, which meant I could try the co-op... theoretically. Unfortunately, that was not to be, as my press copy was not the same version as the released copy! This took me a few frustrating days to find out (my own fault) as I attempted many work-arounds that didn't work (how could they have, considering the root problem?)

The Co-Op Release Alert for the Week of 12.3.2012

Holy cow! It's December already! Where did 2012 go? I'm still writing "2007" on all my checks, so it's been a heck of a transition for me. The bad news is that there aren't many releases left for the year. The good news is that you'll finally have time to finish all the great games that are out. Enjoy.

See the Big Picture in A Virus Named TOM, 75% Off Right Now

Steam's Big Picture mode officially launches today on the service, with several games enhancing themselves for the experience.  One such game is the four player co-op puzzler, A Virus Named TOM, which features couch co-op play out of the box.  Since couches are in the living room, and Steam's Big Picture mode is designed for living room PCs, this seems like a perfect match.

Halo 4 and Black Ops 2, need we say more?

Co-Op Monthly Round-Up For November 2012

November is traditionally the biggest month of the year for gaming and this year's was no exception.  We saw 23 separate co-op games get released alongside a new console in Nintendo's Wii U.  Some of the biggest titles of the year like Halo 4 and Black Ops 2 hit the street and were gobbled up by gamers to the tune of millions of dollars - and when combined - almost billions.

More Dead Space 3 Screens Feature Plenty of New Gear

Today we have some new screens from the upcoming buddy survival horror game Dead Space 3. Ok, "buddy survival horror" might not be a real genre, but Dead Space 3 is most definitely bringing co-op to the franchise. Many of these new screens show off Isaac Clarke's and John Carver's fancy suits and weapons. There's even a nice group shot of potential Necromorph fodder.

Ben 10: Omniverse Co-Op Review

Licensed games have a reputation for being rush-jobs that only a fan of the original property could like. Ben 10: Omniverse from Viscious Cycle and D3 Publisher does not break from that mold, but it still ends up being pretty fun regardless. Omniverse faithfully adapts the fourth and latest Ben 10 animated TV series in videogame form, featuring numerous transformations for the lead character and actual voice talent from the series. More importantly, it packs pretty good 2-player local co-op.

It hurts so good

Dark Souls on Sale from Amazon

The punishing fantasy game, Dark Souls, is on sale today from Amazon. You can ruin your whole week, maybe even your whole year, for the low, low price of 15 bucks. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are both available. I should note that this is the bare-bones version of the game. It doesn't include the recently released (at least for consoles) Artorias of the Abyss DLC. You'll want to pick that up if you want the whole soul crushing experience. Still, the core game is a hell of a ride.
