343 Delays Halo Infinite Co-Op Update Even Further

We were all shocked to learn that Halo Infinite would not be launching with campaign co-op last year. It would be the first time in the series long history the staple feature would be missing. And now the disappointment is going to continue. After initially telling folks that campaign co-op would be added as part of "Season 2" in May of this year...we are going to have to wait longer.

House of the Dead: Remake to Escape Onto Switch This April

Nearly a year ago, Forever Entertainment, the studio behind the excellent Panzer Dragoon: Remake, announced that it would be remaking another Sega classic: The House of the Dead. The remake didn't arrive as planned last year, but the wait will finally come to an end soon. House of the Dead: Remake will arrive on Nintendo Switch at the beginning of April, complete with the series' traditional 2-player local co-op.

Pocky & Rocky Reshrined Descends to PlayStation and Switch This Spring

Pocky & Rocky, a co-op spin-off of Taito’s arcade classic Kiki Kaikai, debuted on Super NES way back in 1992. 30 years later, Natsume is ready to unleash a new sequel: Pocky & Rocky Reshrined. The new game features the same mystical Japanese-themed characters, top-down shooting action, and 2-player co-op that fans loved about the original, plus a total of five playable characters. Pocky & Rocky Reshrined is due for release on PlayStation and Switch in the Spring.

WayForward's Spidersaurs Will Escape to Consoles and PC This Spring

When Apple Arcade launched, it lured in many console game developers with timed exclusivity deals. One such developer is WayForward, whose Shantae and the Seven Sirens first came to Apple before arriving on consoles. Now, another WayForward title is set to graduate from Apple Arcade to mainstream platforms: Spidersaurs. The colorful run-and-gun shooter/platformer will feature 2-player local co-op, spiders, and dinosaurs when it arrives on consoles and PC later this spring.

New Switch Enhancements Revealed for Zombie Army 4

Rebellion’s sublime horror-themed shooter, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, has been out on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC for a while now. It will also make its way to Nintendo Switch this April, but that doesn’t mean fans of sniping zombies need to wait idly until then. The Switch version can now be preordered. Additionally, Rebellion has released tantalizing new details about this version of Zombie Army 4 that could make owners of other versions zombie-green with envy.

Pac-Man Museum Plus Heading to Consoles, PC, and Game Pass This May

Bandai Namco keeps the Pac-Man franchise alive through numerous re-releases on consoles as well as Arcade1Up and other miniature arcade cabinets. This console generation has seen a pair of cool collections of NES games from Namco and Namco Museum, an arcade-themed compilation for Switch, but the last Pac-Man-specific collection dates back to the Xbox 360 era. That will change in just a few months when Pac-Man Museum Plus heads to all consoles and PC, complete with the 4-player co-op sleeper hit, Pac-Man 256.

The Ascent to Ascend to PlayStation in March, Steam Version Gets New Game Plus

Last year, Neon Giant's The Ascent became a sleeper hit when it launched on Xbox and Steam. We were quite taken with the cyberpunk action RPG until numerous bugs and crashes soured our co-op experience. Still, the game has been updated several times since then, so maybe we'll give it another go. PlayStation owners will finally have that opportunity when The Ascent launches there in March. Additionally, the Steam version has just received a New Game Plus mode and a paid DLC pack.

Arcade Archives Brings Three Co-op Shmups to Switch and PlayStation

Hamster Corporation has made a name for itself in recent years by releasing no-frills arcade ports on PlayStation and Switch. Poor Xbox only gets Hamster's Neo Geo ports. In the last couple of months, Hamster has unleashed not one, not two, but three cooperative shoot 'em ups on Switch and PlayStation as part of its Arcade Archives series. Thunder Dragon 2 and Gunnail are vertically scrolling shmups, whereas the Konami classic, Orius, is a horizontal scroller.
