Last summer, Polish developer All in! Games released a charming Overcooked-like puzzle/party game called Lumberhill on Steam. Lumberhill allows up to four local or online players to become lumberjacks, frantically chopping down trees and completing other outdoorsy activities while chasing high scores. Lumberhill is the type of game that works perfectly on consoles, so we're pleased to see that it has now arrived on Nintendo Switch.

Back in November of 2021, iiRcade announced that online multiplayer would come to all multiplayer retro games on the platform. iiRcade, of course, is a home arcade cabinet/console for which players can legally purchase classic and modern indie games. Online multiplayer finally debuted in five iiRcade games today, including the co-op classic Out Zone. Having played through the full game in online co-op, we're excited to see which games will get online multiplayer next.

The Hammerwatch series consists of a pair of low-key co-op action RPGs. One of them, Heroes of Hammerwatch, is one of my all-time favorite co-op games! Seriously, these are great games to play with friends. Soon, serious fans will get the chance to celebrate the series when Strictly Limited Games releases the Epics of Hammerwatch: Heroes Edition collection for PlayStation and Switch. Available in both Limited and Special Limited Editions, this collection promises countless hours of challenging co-op action.

During this January's CES, iiRcade announced a line of upgraded home arcade cabinets. These new cabinets would run the game games but feature a height and form factor closer to classic arcade cabinets, genuine Sanwa parts, updated speaker grills and sound, and JBL audio. At last, iiRcade is ready to announce the specific name and models of the new home arcade cabinets. They will be called iiRcade Gold Edition cabinets, and four different designs are now available to preorder.

The House of the Dead: Remake is finally available on Nintendo Switch. Resurrected by Forever Entertainment, the same masterminds behind Panzer Dragoon: Remake, this new release is a faithful from-the-ground-up recreation of SEGA's original House of the Dead light-gun arcade game. Naturally, it substantially improves the graphics over those of the aging 1996 arcade game. The Switch version also adds an optional performance mode in order to keep the frame rate high. In the end, The Anacrusis did everything humanly possible to make us die. And it succeeded. The 3.0 update is out for the game, promising to reduce the difficulty we experienced a few months prior.

Let's face it: All the majority of the Co-Optimus-Crew wanted to do in March was play Elden Ring. They didn't care for the Next-Gen-Version of GTA V and the release of Young Souls was all but a foot-note during their quest to become the Elden Lord. The craziness of titles like Strange of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin and Tiny Tina's Wonderland also didn't manage to keep them away from Hidetaka Miyazaki's Masterpiece. They even ignored Carby! Forever Entertainment's remake of the classic lightgun shooter The House of the Dead is only a week away, so new information is starting to escape from the house's zombie-filled walls. The House of the Dead: Remake for Switch will feature both a co-op and competitive mode at launch, with the dual-wielding "Cowboy Mode" planned for a post-release update. Both digital and physical preorders have opened up, too, ahead of the game's April 7 release date.
