What the Deuce!?! Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse Co-Op Details Revealed

Fans of the TV Series Family Guy may remember a certain episode in which Stewie and Brian travel into several alternate universes, all done in different art styles.  The Road to the Multiverse Episode apparently was a grand idea for a couch co-op game, and so, Activision is making Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse with Heavy Iron Studios on development.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die PC Edition Available Through Steam, DLC Coming to Consoles This Winter, New Video

In "I told ya so" news, the Artorias of the Abyss areas debuting in the upcoming PC version of Dark Souls will be available to console gamers as downloadable content. The Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition is coming to PC in all of its punishing glory on August 24th, while the DLC will hit consoles later this winter.

Sony Shutting Down SOCOM Servers for PSP and PS2

Like so many other games these days online play eventually disappears into the Matrix - forever lost to gamers   forever.  Never again will you be able to walk those hallowed halls with your mates in online co-op.  On the 10th anniversary of the SOCOM franchise, Sony is shutting down the servers for several of their games, including SOCOM: Combined Assault and SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 - both the co-op titles.

Dead Space 3 Screens Rekindle Co-Op Rumors

It was less than a month ago that rumors of a Dead Space sequel with full co-op support was coming.  E3, kicking off next week in Los Angeles, is the likely target for the announcement.  The latest batch of screens for the game, obtained from an unknown source, definitely seem to support the fact there is co-op play.  Numerous scenes show Isaac and another character working together to take down the freaky creatures.

Anarchy Reigns Delayed in the US, Launch Trailer Here Now, Demo Drops in Japan Tomorrow

In "delayed" news, Anarchy Reigns has been delayed in North America and Europe. Platinum Games broke the bad news last week on their website, saying that Sega had changed the scheduled release date to TBC. At least two Co-Optimus staff members are "totally bummed." The launch date remains unchanged in Japan, where Anarchy Reigns (known there as Max Anarchy) is still scheduled for a July 5th release. Man, they get all the good stuff first.

Doom 3 Returns to Consoles and PC Rocking a Flashlight-Equipped BFG

Remakes and rereleases are all the rage in the gaming world these days. Why, just today SEGA published two Vintage Collections on XBLA. Now id Software and Bethesda are getting in on the action with a deluxe remake of Doom 3 and its expansion, Resurrection of Evil for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. The newly-announced remake will not only improve on many of Doom 3's weaknesses and add new missions, it even includes Doom 1 and 2 as well. That's a Big Freaking Game collection!

Namco says Inversion still on track for June 5th in U.S.

Inversion Actually Not Delayed In the States

A few days ago we broke the bad news (yet again) that Inversion was being delayed to July. Turns out we were only half correct. While the game is certainly delayed til (at least) July in Europe, according to a Namco Bandai rep, the game is still on track for a June 5th release in the states. That's next week! Here's hoping.
